2024 Automotive Industry Awards
On 29 June, the top Tasmanian and Victorian automotive businesses and apprentices were announced at the 2024 Automotive Industry Awards held in Melbourne.
Luke Johnstone, a mechanic apprentice with family-owned Harrison Motor Group, received the prestigious President's VACC Apprentice of the Year award. Jack West from European Technology Bodyworks received the prestigious President's TACC Apprentice of the Year Award. This recognition underscores Harrison Motor group and European Technology Bodyworks commitment to fostering top talent in the automotive industry.
Victorian car and truck dealership group Patterson Cheney were awarded the President’s Award - Employer of the Year for the second time, further cementing their reputation as one of Australia’s leading employers. Read more about what drives this award-winning business to success.
MTA SA Graduation and Awards
Over 500 guests gathered in Adelaide on 17 June to celebrate the Motor Trade Association’s 2024 Automotive Awards and Graduation ceremony. The collision repair sector did well on the night, collecting seven out of the sixteen awards announced on the night. A standout moment was the recognition of Eli Moss, Agricultural Machinery Technology apprentice with Emmetts Crystal Brook, as the 2024 Apprentice of the Year.
Spirit Super Business Excellence Awards
These awards celebrate the best in Northern Tasmanian businesses and provide a catalyst for organisations to review their practices, strategies and markets on a regular basis, as well as showcasing everything great about doing business in the north.
In March this year, Launceston City Mission took out the Launceston Chamber of Commerce Chamber’s Choice Award.
