EOFY contribution cut-off dates

The end of the financial year can be a great time to put a little extra into super and take advantage of some of the tax concessions super offers.

What is the cut-off date for personal contributions?

To make sure your personal contributions are counted for the 2020-21 financial year, we must receive your contributions by 11.59pm on 30 June 2021. We currently accept personal contributions through BPAY or cheque.

If paying by BPAY

To account for processing times, BPAY payments should be made no later than 25 June 2021.

To make your contribution, you’ll need our biller code and your reference number. These are available on your Account summary, Member statement, and in Member Online.

If paying by cheque

Cheques must be received by us by 12pm AEST on 30 June 2021.

Cheques must be payable to 'Spirit Super' and must be accompanied with a Make a super contribution form or remittance advice.

Cheques can be posted to:

Spirit Super
GPO Box 1547
Hobart TAS 7001

Remember, there are limits to how much you can contribute to super each financial year. If you go over this limit, you may pay more tax. See Contributions caps for more details.

What happens if I miss the cut-off date?

Any contributions received after 30 June 2021 will be processed in the next financial year. This may have tax implications for you in the next financial year, particularly if you exceed your contributions caps for that year.
