We are thrilled to announce that Spirit Super has been shortlisted for the 10th Annual Super Fund of the Year Awards 2023 in both the Retirement Offering of the Year and Choice Insurance Offering categories.

The 10th Annual Super Fund of the Year Awards 2023 is an exciting nationwide recognition program showcasing the outstanding individuals and businesses positively shaping the growth and development of Australia’s superannuation sector.

The prestigious event offers leading professionals and their businesses the opportunity to highlight their achievements, build exposure, and support the expansion of their careers and companies.

This national awards program – which culminates in the black-tie gala event in Melbourne – will help forge closer connectivity in the sector and give greater visibility to the business of superannuation in Australia.

The finalist list, announced on Thursday 21 September 2023, features over 108 high-achieving professionals and businesses across 21 categories.

Securing a place as a finalist in the Retirement Offering of the Year and Choice Insurance Offering categories signifies the resolute determination and steadfast commitment of individuals, teams, and businesses playing a pivotal role in propelling the industry forward.

Laura Dew, editor of Super Review, said ‘I would like to say well done to all of this year’s finalists on being nominated for these prestigious awards. This event will be marking its 10-year anniversary this year, so we hope all the finalists and their colleagues can join us in Melbourne to celebrate the super industry’s achievements and I look forward to seeing you in October.’

Jason Murray, Spirit Super CEO, said he was proud to be nominated as a finalist in both the Retirement Offering of the Year and Choice Insurance Offering categories.

‘Securing nominations in both the Retirement Offering of the Year as well as the Choice Insurance Offering categories is fantastic recognition of our excellent contribution to the superannuation industry. It reinforces the strength of our service and dedication to connecting with the community and engaging with our members.’

‘As a profit-to-member fund, we’re always looking for new ways to provide our members with low fees, competitive products, personalised service and affordable flexible insurance options.’

‘We provide our members with three pension options, depending on their individual needs. Being nominated in the Retirement Offering of the Year category which recognises the fund with the best value for money retirement offering holds significant importance for us,’ Jason added.

‘Similarly, our nomination in the Choice Insurance Offering category demonstrates our commitment to providing members with the best range of insurance choice, service and cost.’

‘In the 2022-23 financial year we negotiated a new 3-year rate guarantee with our insurer MetLife, which sees our members benefit from a reduction in the insurance fees they pay, saving them $51 million over three years.’

Whether you’re looking to transition into retirement or say goodbye to work forever, we offer flexible pension options to meet your needs. Because no two people are the same, we’ve made our pensions as flexible as possible. Learn more about the three different pensions options we offer.
