Spirit Super nominated for Pension of the Year

Spirit Super was recently nominated as a finalist in the 2021 Lonsec and SuperRatings Pension of the Year Award.

Spirit Super was recently nominated as a finalist in the 2021 Lonsec and SuperRatings Pension of the Year Award.

The award recognises funds with the Best Value for Money pension offering based on performance, fees, and member services.

Spirit Super was named in the top ten in the award, which analysed over 180 pension fund products covering more than $248 billion in retirement savings on behalf of 940,000 members.

Spirit Super CEO Leeanne Turner said the nomination was a sign we’re delivering on our promise to support hard-working Australians.

“We’re thrilled to be nominated for the award so soon after the merger. And while we didn’t win, the nomination itself recognises Spirit Super as a leading retirement product provider,” she said.

“We work hard to make sure our members can enjoy a secure and fulfilling retirement, and our pension products play a huge part in that.”

She also highlighted the greater importance pension products will play in shaping the future of many Australians.

“The super industry is maturing, and our population is getting older and living longer. In the coming years, we’re going to see a lot of members moving from the accumulation stage of super into the retirement phase.”

“So, we need retirement products that give our members confidence to embrace their retirements without worrying about how they’re going to pay the bills. That means offering flexibility, value, security and great service every step of the way.”

“I’m proud to say Spirit Super is helping lead the way in this space.”

We offer three pension options to suit individual retirement needs — Transition, Control and Managed. Each option comes packed with flexible features to give members more options and support in retirement.

“Everyone’s retirement goals are different. So, there’s no one-size-fits-all pension product,” said Leeanne.

“Our options are designed to give members greater control and flexibility. Members can choose to be hands-on — choosing their investment options etc. — or they can let us take care of it.”

“It’s all about finding a balance that suits their lifestyle and providing fantastic support how and when they need it.”
